His kanji name will be read as Zetsubou(desperate) if write in horizontal, suitable with his character who always pessimist and paranoid. Nozomu always yell “I’m in despair” every face to some situation, often to try suicide but aways end with fail.

Kafuka is reverse of Nozomu, Always see everything in positive thinking and have miracle idea for every odd event, hang one self is method to make body more higher and stalker is another war to show love. She’s equal opponent for Nozomu when they debate about way to live.
Kiri Komori
Komori always hide oneself in her room and didn’t have any contact with outside. What was Kafuka and Nozomu doing make this girl frightened and go out from hiding place. Because she’s spell bound with Nozomu. Now, she’s become occupant empty room in school, but still didn’t study o n class.
Kitsu Chiri
Always to claim everything to be right, in balance and fit. Chiri not averse to say whatever her opinion and always fought with Nozomu who she’s think are odd. Chiri claim Nozomu to marry her after accidentally sleep close with her in nurse room.
Tsumeki Matoi
Matoi always possessive with someone she’s like. She always observer boyfriend activity or maybewe can call her is a stalker, not just that matoi always imitate clothes style who she like. At the moment Matoi wearing cloth like Nozomu and follow him whenever he go.
